Introduction

Client Hub’s improved QuickBooks integration directly tackles one of the most time-wasting tasks in bookkeeping: managing. With our newly redesigned QuickBooks integration, inside the Client Hub client workspace, you’ll see new client-ready prompts offering advanced features to gather additional details to ensure better compliance. Instead of toggling between tools or waiting days for replies, accountants can now request context and receive responses without leaving the workflow. It’s a practical fix for cleaner books and faster closes.

Key Enhancements That Save You Time and Headaches

1. Smarter Client Inputs

No more back-and-forth emails. Clients can now respond to uncategorized transaction requests by choosing the correct account from a dropdown or typing a detailed explanation. Once they hit send, the item is automatically marked “Answered” and you get notified. If they provide a description only, you assign the correct account, and the update—plus the client’s memo—syncs directly to QuickBooks Online.

2. Direct Document Uploads

Tired of chasing receipts? Clients can now upload supporting docs straight into the QuickBooks items in Client Hub. These attachments are automatically linked back to the matching transaction in QuickBooks Online, giving you instant access to source material right where you need it.

3. Live Sync with QuickBooks Online

When you or your team recategorize a transaction in QuickBooks Online, it disappears from the uncategorized list in Client Hub—instantly! This live sync ensures you’re always working with up-to-date info across both platforms.

4. International Tax Compatibility

If you’re working with global clients, we’ve got you covered. Client Hub now supports sales tax fields from international versions of QuickBooks Online, making it easier to stay compliant with region-specific tax rates and codes.

In this example, the client is prompted to either select the appropriate account or enter a transaction description. They can also upload receipts directly, ensuring clearer context and stronger documentation for you.

Why This Matters for Accounting Teams

1. Cut the Admin Workload

With real-time sync and status updates built in, you no longer need to chase down clients or re-enter data. Everything flows directly from the client to QuickBooks, saving hours during cleanup and reconciliation.

2. Reduce Coding Errors at the Source

Clients provide account choices or explanations, and you get attachments right in context. That means fewer misclassifications, cleaner memos, and stronger audit trails.

3. Keep Communication Inside the Workflow

No more scattered emails or vague comments. All transaction queries, responses, and docs stay inside one thread, making it easier to track conversations and close out items fast.

4. Stay Compliant, Wherever Your Clients Are

From Canada to the UK and beyond, international sales tax fields are now supported, so your cross-border clients stay compliant, and you stay in control.

A Cleaner Way to Close the Books

With these updates, we hope uncategorized transactions will no longer need to slow you down. Enjoy faster responses, fewer errors, and all your documentation in one place. It's a smarter, more streamlined way to manage cleanup without the chaos! Ready to simplify your workflow? Explore the enhanced integration at Client Hub and see how it keeps your month-end on track.
